Three Rivers Health has announced the addition of Navin Pancholy, M.D., to its medical staff. He joins Dr. Akiyoshi Kido, general surgeon, and Dr. Kenneth Wiencek, orthopedic surgeon, at the Surgical Services office on the Three Rivers Health campus.

Dr. Pancholy brings over 30 years of experience in general, vascular, and trauma surgery, as well as expertise in less invasive laparoscopy and endoscopy surgery.

He comes to Three Rivers from Randolph, Vermont, where he was a general surgeon at the local hospital. He also worked in Tampa, Florida, for 12 years at a level one trauma center, gaining extensive ICU/critical care experience. After he completed a fellowship in 1996 at the Starzl Institute of Transplantation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he returned to his home country of India for seven years, where he completed a mission doing charitable work at the Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Center. While there he served as a general, vascular, and transplant surgeon.

Dr. Pancholy is a graduate of the B.J. Medical College, Ahmadabad, India, and was chief surgical resident at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Following his residency, he joined the medical staff at this 400-bed hospital and also served as an assistant clinical professor at Wright State Medical School. Dr. Pancholy’s training also includes a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Texas Heart Institute.
