The sidewalk in the vicinity of the Riviera Theatre was one of the gathering spots for Three Rivers High School alumni from the Sixties Friday evening.

Despite a period of wind-driven heavy rain, Historic Downtown Three Rivers was a busy spot Friday evening (July 23rd) with the synergy of two simultaneous events – Three Rivers High School class reunion activity and an ‘Art & Music Hop.’

The ‘Class of 1965’ – hitting the 45-year mark since graduation – extended an “invitation to Downtown Three Rivers . . . for an evening of social time with the classes of 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, & 1969..”  The invitation included a suggestion to “Visit the Riviera Theatre, our local merchants, & enjoy Three Rivers’ own classic cars.”

Christi Misner was among the Three Rivers Artists Guild members who participated in the Art & Music Hop. Her works remain on display at Paisano's.

Art and music were to be found at a number of locations in the downtown area throughout the evening and Mike King was on hand with his Weenie Kings hot dog cart near the Mural Mall.

Here’s a sampling of photographs from the special evening.  NOTE:  To enlarge the photos, simply ‘click’ on them.

The 'Memories on Main' shirts at Fabrications by design, inc. capture well the era of the Sixties and the spirit of the activities Friday evening.

The Carnegie Center for the Arts hosted both art and music during the Art & Music Hop.

Here's but one of the groups that got together Friday evening in downtown Three Rivers - in this case, at Paisano's.
