Proposed chlorination of the city’s drinking water supply will be considered by the Three Rivers City Commission during its meeting Tuesday evening (January 20th).

Commissioners asked for a report on the subject at their January 6th meeting following a nearly week-long “boil water notice” prompted by a loss of pressure in the city’s water system in late December.

The commission is also slated to consider:

•    approving an expenditure of $19,500 for design engineering and geotechnical exploration for a project to rebuild Spring Street from West Michigan Avenue to Millard Street
•    authorizing an expenditure of $15,000 to complete a city master plan update
•    and setting a public hearing for an application for an Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Act (OPRA) Exemption Certificate for renovation of the second floor of the building at 37 North Main Street.

The meeting will get underway at 6 p.m. in the Commission Room at City Hall on West Michigan Avenue.
