“The Green Leaves of Summer” are quite some time away in River Country, but the warmer temperatures of recent days – and the gradual disappearance of winter’s accumulated snow and ice – are harbingers of things to come.

Also encouraging is the knowledge that the vernal equinox, marking the official arrival of spring, is only two weeks away – Saturday, March 20th, at 1:32 p.m. EDT.

Speaking of EDT – Eastern Daylight Time – it’s even closer, set for 2 a.m. Sunday, March 14th.
