Jeanne Reed, a professor of sociology at Glen Oaks Community College, has announced a 14-day trip in May to the British Isles. Students and members of the public may join the 2010 tour entitled “The Britannia” as part of the Travel and Study Abroad (SSF 200) program through Glen Oaks.
The Britannia tour includes round trip airfare, overnight stays in hotels with private bathrooms, complete European breakfast and dinner daily, a full-time EF Educational Tours director, sightseeing tours of Dublin, Edinburgh and London, Ring of Kerry, Oxford, Stonehenge and walking tours of both Edinburgh and London, and visits to seven special attractions: Bog Village Museum, Blarney Castle, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Book of Kells at Trinity College, Welsh Castle, Rydal Mount, and Edinburgh Castle.
