A Soup & Bread Supper will be staged at the Center Park United Methodist Church on Saturday (December 12th) to raise funds for Open Arms, the weekend homeless shelter at the First United Methodist Church in Three Rivers.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the church, which is located on Moorepark Road north of Three Rivers.

According to the pastor of the church, Rev. Lyne Stull-Lipps, the supper will feature a variety of soups donated by members of the congregation, homemade breads, desserts and beverages.  There will also be information about the shelter and places to go when people are “having difficulty in this economy with paying their bills, particularly mortgage issues or rent issues.”

The charge for the supper is $5 for adults, $3 for children 5 to 12, and children under 5 free.
