Based on personal experiences this weekend, I’d like to make TWO recommendations:
• If you’d like to read something to give you a boost and instill some confidence in these troubled times, a Viewpoint by Brett Common in Saturday’s (December 5th) edition of the Kalamazoo Gazette is worth reading. As someone who’s on the leading edge of the “Baby Boom” generation and wondering at times about the prospects for our country and world in the future, it gave me encouragement. To access the piece, simply click on the following link: Viewpoint: Gen-Y will lead by embracing sustainability and diversity
• If you’d like to enjoy the “sights and sounds” of the holiday season in a rather unique way, check out Pat Chartrand’s synchronized display of Christmas lights and music at his home in Coldwater. You’ll find it at 290 Grand Street, just north of the downtown area. To get more information about the display – including directions and a map help you get there – go to www.coldwaterlights.com. It’s a delight and well worth seeing and hearing!
