
A lighting ceremony involving this tree in Shelby Park, set for 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1st, is one of the events planned as part of "Christmas in Constantine 2009."
Downtown Constantine is gearing up for “Christmas in Constantine 2009” with a variety of events planned next week.
Tuesday (December 1st) stores will be open until 7 p.m. and the Constantine High School Band will be on hand for the lighting of the Christmas tree in Shelby Park at 7:15.
Wednesday (December 2nd) will feature carolers from 6 to 7 p.m. and a Cool Cities Fund Raiser Dinner at Meek’s Mill with three settings – 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Thursday (December 3rd) will feature carolers from 6 to 7 p.m. and a Christmas Retailer Scavenger Hunt.
Friday (December 4th) will be highlighted by carolers from 6 to 7 p.m. and retailers will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. with light refreshments.
The celebration will conclude on Saturday (December 5th) with Santa Claus and reindeer from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be food boxes in different stores for your convenience to donate to the local food pantry.
