The October meeting of the Three Rivers Health (TRH) Authority Board on October 29, 2009 included unanimous action to select William “Bill” Russell for the permanent position as CEO of Three Rivers Health. Russell has been serving as “interim CEO” since the departure of Matt Chambers at the end of July.
During a post-meeting interview with Bruce Snook of the River Country Journal, Russell commented on the board’s action to choose him for the permanent CEO position. He also commented on board action to engage Lancaster Pollard, a consulting company, to assist the hospital with financing and refinancing matters, and provided information about the hospital’s experience with and handling of the increased volume of seasonal and H1N1 flu.
