The warning sirens in the City of Three Rivers will be tested throughout the day this coming Thursday (November 5th).
According to the Three Rivers Fire Department, a recent upgrade of the radio system at St. Joseph County Central Dispatch has made it necessary for the city to reprogram the siren activation system.
A test activation of each siren location will be conducted after the reprogramming. Multiple tests may be necessary to assure that the system is functioning properly. While severe weather is not in the long-term forecast for this week, reprogramming and testing will be cancelled should a short-term forecast indicate the potential for severe weather.
Questions regarding the warning siren testing should be directed to the Three Rivers Fire Department at (269) 278-3755.
