Additional events to raise money for the Three Rivers K-9 Unit Fund are being planned beyond Friday’s (October 23rd) spaghetti dinner at the Constantine American Legion (5 to 8 p.m., $6).

The activities are aimed at raising funds to acquire a new police dog to replace K-9 Officer Anjia who died on September 30th from an auto-immune disease.

Three Rivers Police Chief Tom Bringman reports that the following events have been added to the calendar with proceeds going to the Three Rivers K-9 Unit Fund:

•    Thursday, November 5th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Paisano’s, 16 North Main Street in downtown Three Rivers – Bringman says the owner and staff of Paisano’s wanted to sponsor a fundraiser to help with the K-9 Fund.  Police and fire personnel from various departments will assist throughout the evening.

•   Saturday, November 7th from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Three Rivers Fire Department – A pancake breakfast will be held with police and fire personnel from various departments assisting.

•   Saturday, November 7th at the Eagles Club, 715 East Hoffman Street in Three Rivers – A fish fry dinner will be held – additional information to be announced.
