Due to the fact that the Constantine Varsity Football team is having its last game of the season on Friday (October 23rd) – with Schoolcraft at Schoolcraft – and that this game will determine the League Champion, which also is important to the playoff implications, the spaghetti dinner that day at the Constantine American Legion will start at 5 p.m., rather than 6 p.m., so Constantine residents can stop for dinner on their way to the game.

In keeping with the original plan, dinner will be served until 8 p.m. – “or until gone.”

The dinner is a team effort of the Constantine Police Department and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department to benefit the Three Rivers K-9 Unit fund.

Plans for the event were developed following the September 30th death of Anjia, K-9 officer with the Three Rivers Police Department from an auto-immune disease.

The dinner and other activities are being held to help raise the $10,000 needed to secure and train a new police dog.

The cost for Friday’s dinner will be $6.

The event will also include raffles, 50/50’s, and a silent auction.
