The Constantine Police Department and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department are teaming up to host a spaghetti dinner to benefit the Three Rivers K-9 Unit fund.
Plans for the event come in the wake of the September 30th death of Anjia, K-9 officer with the Three Rivers Police Department from an auto-immune disease.
In announcing the police dog’s death, St. Joseph County Prosecuting Attorney John McDonough said he is asking businesses, as well as the community, to help raise the $10,000 needed to get and train a new police dog.
The spaghetti dinner is scheduled for Friday, October 23rd, at the American Legion in Constantine from 6 to 8 p.m. – “or until gone.”
The cost will be $6.
The event will also include raffles, 50/50’s, and a silent auction.
If you have any questions, call Jim or Diana at the Constantine Police Department at (269) 435-4355.
