The Three Rivers City Commission has authorized Jones & Henry Engineers to produce a 20-year Capital Improvement Plan for the city’s drinking water system for a fee not to exceed $12,500.
Commissioner gave the okay for the project during their meeting Tuesday evening (October 6th).
According to a staff report, the plan “is a necessary tool in planning for the future of the drinking water system and to keep it current for customer needs. The plan is also necessary should the city desire to use state revolving fund money for any drinking water projects.”
In other business, the commission:
• Approved a swine permit to allow David O’Neal of 310 Kellogg Avenue to keep one pot-bellied pig
• Accepted 1,248 linear feet of Millard Road, just west of US-131, to become a portion of Millard Street
• And appointed Mary VanDeraa and Craig Gearhart to the Airport Board.
